 My fear of heights reduced March 31, 2008
For some 20 years, I was using my dad's old ladders when necessary, but of course, they were aging equipment. I have always gotten this weak feeling in my legs as I had climbed these, but just would have to get the jobs done.
Further, we were anticipating some indoor painting jobs in a room with a raise, barn-shaped ceiling and we did not have a tall enough folding ladder. So it seemed time to replace the older ladders.
We had heard all the positive marketing material for the Little Giant and we decided to 'invest' in a more expensive model. Amazon had the best price and so we ordered it. It arrived promptly and I opened the box and the ladder. I was amazed how stable the ladder felt. Raising the ladder to its full folding height was easy enough for one person. The hinged stops for the rungs worked smoothly and look like they will probably stay that way for years, not jamming up as they age.
Regarding the 'glide wheels'... either I am not using them correctly, or their benefit is minimal, but they did not seem to be of any help in moving the ladder around indoors. I cannot see how they would be useful for moving an extended ladder along the side of a house being painted, which is when I thought they would be of the greatest use.
Nevertheless, I was able to complete the indoor painting job, reaching many areas easily and without the fear of heights getting in my way. We are very satisfied with this ladder and look forward to its reliable service for the next 20+ years. I did not mind the heavier weight of the ladder, I think this adds to the solid feel.

This ladder is very flexible, being adjustable in many different ways. This is really handy. It is also extremely sturdy. It feels very strong and safe. It seems very well designed. My one disappointment about it is its weight. It is so heavy it is hard to maneuver. It would be useful to me to be able to use it fully extended. However, I found I could not use it that way because I simply could not handle it that way with its weight. It requires a lot more strength to handle something extending that far above one's own height, and this ladder would have to be considerably lighter to be usable that way by most people.

The note on the ladder stated I was getting a new product. It probable is a new ladder but I never expected the top wrong to have an imperfection. There is a cut though the metal three inches long. Since it is made with great strength and reinforcement, I believe it will not affect the performance of the ladder. It is just as good as a perfect one! I have used the ladder three times since my purchase. It is stable and usable in unconventional areas where other ladders could not be used! Overall I am very satisfied. It could be that I did not read everything in all fairness! Everything else was perfect. The delivery was within one week.

Best ladder ever owned. Wish I had bought the smaller one. The 22 foot is heavy and hard to move around and the next size down would have done everything I needed. Has been a lifesaver in mounting cealing fans with beds in the way. If you try you can find a position to mount anything anywhere with this ladder.

Good ladder, be sure to have someone show you the easy way to use it. Check the fairs and trade shows, the guy there offered two extra accesseries for the same price , I bought mine from a store with training on the easy way to use it, nice real nice. My copy cat ladder I had taken back, got xtra play in the middle and I was using it the hard way, what a difference. Twice the price but worth it.
